Today, November 28th is Michelin Microwave’s first birthday. It’s been an emotional year. There have been highs – Barry Norman Pickled Onions . There have been lows – Loyd Grossman Tomato and Garlic Sauce.
There has been some lovely feedback – thank you Jay Rayner. There has been some criticism – thank you anonymous dude on a forum who commented on some terrible typos and punctuation.
There have been some shocks – I’m talking about you Mary Berry. There have been some pleasant surprises – largely from rugby players, Matt Dawson and Lawrence Dallaglio.
I am aware that some posts have been better than others. Some weeks it was tricky to find the time, others the blogs just wrote themselves. Thank you for sticking with it and for taking the time to read my musings. I hope they have brought some joy. I hope they have put you off eating some disgusting things. I hope they have helped you discover some things you wouldn’t have otherwise bothered with.
Over the course of the year it has become apparent that you can trust Heston Blumenthal – his Waitrose range rarely disappoints. The same can not be said for Levi Roots. Some of his products are incredible, some are horrendous. It’s like ready meal Russian roulette putting a Reggae Reggae meal in your basket.
And so to round off the year I thought I’d give a quick run down of the top 5 and bottom 5 products, and here they are:

So there you have it. A year of celebrity endorsed goods. Here’s to the next year – I’ll try and be funnier, I’ll try and take better photos and I’ll try to dig out more celebrity endorsed gems!
